Designed and purpose built for your compact excavators, skidsteers and compact loaders.
The SLG 78VFW RB is our most popular screener and can be fed with buckets up to 82 inches wide.
With literally thousands of our screeners out there working, turning waste into profit this SLG 78 series machine will screen and recycle everything from topsoil, to compost, sand and gravel up to erosion control rock and ground asphalt.
The Feeder Deflection System on the 78 creates a 36” x 90” inch feed hopper that allows an excavator with a 36’ or less bucket to feed the screener from all sides. The feeder also is designed to force material to the top of the screen deck to begin the screening process. The feeder also has the ability to tilt open to allowing oversize material to pass over the screen deck.
DeSite Feeder Deflection System :
Our tilting screen deck design on the SLG 78 give the operator total control to decide the degree of deck slope while feeding the screener. The operator, using the machines buck can take the screen deck from 45 degrees to 30 degrees in 2 seconds by just tilting the bucket downward. No other screener design gives the operator so much vision of the screen deck and the screening process. With such good vision and ability to control the deck slope angle, the SLG 78 can process high moisture material faster and more efficiently.
The SLG 78 screen deck has a floating vertical tube system that our 3600rpm 120 volt power pack bolts to. The new vertical tube mount along with our vib pack, produces more vibratory action than ever. We have crowned the screen deck and side tensioned the mesh to prestress the wire making it impact resistant. The SLG 78 is extremely efficient and requires only a 4500 watt generator, or 120 land power if within 75ft. Built into the power box we have install the starting capacity to the energy for the vibratory motor on start up. The SLG 78 comes with a heavy duty 10 gauge power cord that is hard wire into the power box.
Our rugged cantilevered screen deck suspension works amazing.
Built to absorb the shock of a bucket making contact with the screen deck, this suspension system works to cantilever the screen deck. Pushing down on the top of the screen deck with the operators bucket brings the bottom up to create an action / reaction. This allows the screen deck to tilt faster up and down using less deck movement for a more aggressive screening action.
No other screener design has this ability to jump the screen deck up and down for dislodging rocks, sticks, and sod.
The BUCKET TRANSPORT LUGS is a fast transport system that doesn't require a trailer or wheels. Simply attach the bucket transport lugs—a process that takes just 2 minutes—grab your bucket, and lift the screener. It's a very straightforward process. We understand that some screening locations can be difficult to access, which is why we designed our screeners with portability in mind. Our fork and bucket lug transport system eliminates the need for wheels, axles, hitches, and wiring, reducing maintenance and simplifying the transport process.
The SLG 78 Riser Box elevates the screener to an 8ft feed height for comfortable use with bigger skidsteers, compact excavators and compact loaders with bucket up to 82 inches wide.
Off the rise the feed height is 6ft and works well with smaller sub compact equipment.
Material storage capacity doubles to 4 cubic yards of both finished product and overs when up on the riser box.
Connecting or disconnecting the riser box takes less than two minutes by removing the 4” nylon straps from the tie down winches

We offer a wide range of mesh that are quick and easily changed. The ability to install large and small high quality mesh makes DeSite SLG Screeners a time saver and money maker. We offer both square and elongated mesh pattern in a double lock crimp weave. Our double lock weave puts two crimps in each wire as they intersect, This creates a strong weave and a stronger, more stable mesh.By directing material flow to the top of the screen deck, this system ensures maximum production and efficiency. The SLG 108's deflector is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing it to open and close as needed to manage oversized materials effectively. Additionally, the 108's feed deflector fits into our quick disconnect lugs, making it easy to remove when necessary.
Our elongated pattern mesh is what we call a triple chute weave where a group of three wires intersect the main with wires. A space of four inches has full unobstructed opening before the next three wires intersect the mesh again. Our elongated pattern meshes are designed to handle higher moisture material when screening is more challenging. Hourly production are always considerably higher when elongated pattern mesh in in use.
One person can access and easily remove the mesh clamp bolts on each side and middle of the screener. At the bottom of the screen deck we have laser cut the plate to hold the mesh in place until you are ready to remove it. After removing the mesh simply install the new mesh and reinstall and tighten the bolts on each side.

Wood mulch is a light product that travels over the screen deck differently that a soil or aggregate product. It is recommended to run a bit bigger mesh. Often people will screen out the fines and mix it into the topsoil for slow release decomposition. It is a great way to recycle the wood fines.
